So there are many reasons why I started farming. One of them is definitely my dear friend Emily.  We were both working as artists at the Vermont Studio Center  and Emily left her job and her studio to begin vegetable farming, even though her paintings are remarkable. It took me a few years longer, but here I am. This is a video that features her and some other farmers who, despite working harder than anyone else I know for very little money, are donating their food to the Occupy Wall Street movement. As always, she and Fair Food Farm remain a constant inspiration.  By the way - looking for some of the most delicious pork around? She is currently selling shares in her pigs and can deliver as far as nyc if you buy a whole pig. You should seriously consider going in with your friends and doing this. It is the most delicious.
